Barend has long valued a pragmatic approach to achieving impact with a healthy tension between long-term sustainability and short-term objectives. As an entrepreneur, Barend used this conviction to build a project implementation business, CoLAB, which he founded in 2008 and manages as CEO. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and Project Management Professional (PMI PMP®). His business experience spans over 25 years and he’s operated, developed and consulted on all components within the project portfolio management space at leading companies, spanning all major sectors.

SUSAN CRONJÉ

Chief Financial Officer

Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1991, Susan has spent nearly a decade crunching numbers in the CoLAB team. A passionately creative thinker, Susan takes a uniquely people-centred approach to solving business challenges. With her keen business insights and ability to effectively simplify processes, Susan works closely with the team, contributing to the success of each CoLAB project.

ANDRÉ GROENEWALD

Senior Project Manager & Sales Manager

Qualifying with a BSc in Engineering from North-West University in 1998, André brings nearly two decades of well-rounded experience and multi-industry knowledge to the CoLAB team. André is a practical problem solver with an intricate understanding of PM processes and methodologies. His client-centred approach and creative problem solving makes him a valuable asset to our team.

GARY GOSLING

Delivery Service Manager

Gary Gosling’s unique industry experience gives him a cutting edge. Also a qualified civil engineer, Gary has rich insights and experience in construction management, bulk logistics, agriculture and mining. He is an enthusiastic and dedicated project manager, driven by delivering results and exceeding customer expectations. Meticulous, with a keen eye for detail, Gary knows exactly what it takes to kick-start and sustain a successful project.

Gerhard Weiss is a Chartered Quality Professional and visionary Programme Manager. His ability and passion to drive organisational culture and projects to the highest achievable standards is a testament to his vast industry knowledge and experience. Beginning his career in 2001, and having worked on world class construction and mining projects, Gerhard brings invaluable expertise to every project he manages. An accomplished and natural leader, Gerhard has a sound understanding of what drives successful projects and people.
